Jonathan Evans, the son of Dr. Tony Evans,
speaks-out on what it means to live for Christ as an athlete

Jonathan Evans, an accomplished athlete, has partnered with his father, Dr. Tony Evans, in writing the book Get in the Game: A Spiritual Workout for Athletes.  This interactive workbook outlines techniques to help keep you in shape spiritually, while teaching the importance of daily practice, patience and obedience.

As the son of a nationally recognized pastor, speaker and author, Jonathan recognizes that living for Christ is not a game but a life-long process.  By paralleling the physical training and dedication needed to become a strong athlete, with the same Spiritual training needed to have a strong Spiritual walk, Jonathan offers a unique perspective on the discipline necessary for spiritual growth.

Within a two-year span, Jonathan, a former Baylor University standout fullback, has signed with the Dallas Cowboys and the San Diego Chargers and has played for the Berlin Thunders of NFL Europe.

His journey has not been easy, but he is excited by what God is doing in his life and is sharing his faith with athletes, youth groups and men’s ministries around the country.
