FINDING PURPOSE Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to minister at a "Power of Purpose" event in Toronto, Canada. This event stood out in my mind for a couple of reasons. First of all, it was a weekend long community outreach event. Next it was a mix of competitive sporting activities and traditional services. There is something fascinating about seeing people in a competitive environment where they are determined, strong, and fearless. However, the same people easily become timid, vulnerable and uneasy in other meaningful settings. Why is it so hard to keep that determination and strength when it counts the most?
